How to apply

Applying to volunteer can be done in four easy steps! However, keep in mind that volunteer opportunities constantly update based on the needs of our team.

If you do not see a position suited for you, apply to the closest position best suited for your skill sets or interests.

Step 1

Visit our profile on Volunteer Match to create an account, then view the ‘Active Opportunities’ on the right.

Step 2

Next, click the opportunity that fits your interest and/or skills or close to them. Then, click “I want to help.”

Step 3

Complete the form, then click “Register.” Once submitted, click “Complete your application” to complete the Volunteer/Intern Interest Form.

Step 4

Wait for a team member to reach out to potentially schedule an interview and inform you of any following steps and requests.

Note:

We will not consider applicants who only complete Step 1.  And if you want to complete Step 2 at a later date, open the form and copy the URL to a place you are able to find it.

"The work we are doing with RP in the Ecuadorian Amazon is super important to me and to the communities. Our work together further equips them with the tools they need to continue protecting forests and biodiversity in their own ways-- and to conserve cultural identity and ancestral knowledge for future generations."

FAQ

If I applied for one position, will I be considered for others?

Regardless of the position you applied for, you may be considered for all currently open positions with a single application. We ask that you communicate as best as possible in your application what you are looking for in a volunteer opportunity and all the roles you wish to be considered for.

Can I work remotely from anywhere?

Those who live nearby and/or are traveling through the same locations often come together in-person for events, gathering, meetings and more, however our opportunities are primarily remote. Certain needs require someone to be more present in a particular region, for example, filming events in Austin, TX, where our team started and where many team members still reside. While we sometimes make exceptions or find roles with a greater capacity to be asynchronous for our team members living in very different time zones, our meeting times are most often during US Central Time (Texas) working hours. Working hours however are flexible beyond scheduled meetings. We will discuss with you extensively both the opportunities and downfalls of your primary working location during the interview process.

What are the typical weekly hours as a volunteer?
