Climate Change and Rainforests
Rainforests are the lungs of our planet. Rainforest Partnership joins 90% of scientists who believe in climate change and are concerned by what the future holds. We know that the Amazon region helps regulate temperature and humidity, and that this region affects climate patterns through hydrological cycles. The Amazon has tremendous potential to alter global climate; not taking care of the rainforests within it could yield dire consequences. We have aligned our work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals on Climate Action by connecting with organizations, local and national governments, academic institutions, businesses and individuals around the world to make the rainforest protection a reality.
