You already know how much we at Rainforest Partnership love watching forest films! We think you will enjoy this new virtual reality film by Conservation International called “Under the Canopy”.

“Under the Canopy” will take you on a journey through the Amazon guided by the people who know it best. This is a 360-degree film shot in Suriname and Ecuador’s Yasuní National Park using drones and cable-mounted cameras. It follows an indigenous man named Kamanja Panashekung, who’s family has called the forest home for many generations. His community continues to cultivate the land and water in sustainable ways. The purpose of this film is to bring awareness to deforestation and climate change. It also emphasizes the important role that local indigenous communities have in the protection of their land.
